Engagement Card

I wanted to create one more card before my vacation was over.  My sister-in-law recently got engaged and I wanted to make this card for her.

New Orleans Aquarium Pictures

This was our first trip to the New Orleans Aquarium since Hurricane Katrina.  It is simply breathtaking.  This visit brought back so many memories of our pre-Katrina days living in that marvelous city.  I used my Dell Wasabi printer (also known as the POGO).  It uses Zink ink and comes in handy with those little perfect fit photo sizes.

Thanks Card

I made this super simple card with the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge.  It has an awesome tag feature, so even if  you think it is too girly the tags are worth purchasing it. Of course I used my Gypsy.  I love it because It allows me to switch between cartridges
Card dimension 4 X 6.5
Tag cut at 2.25
The Slice Scallop for Basic 1 cut at 2.50
Swirls From the Cindy Loo Cartridge 2.25.  I had to hide a lot becuz they were a little too long.

Thinking of You Card

Okay, I bought another gadget today.  Micheal's had The Slice machine by Making Memories 40% off.  I have been watching it for a year.  Since it only cuts to up to 4'', I plan to use it primarily for Accents.  Instead of investing in a lot of punches, The Slice is good for adding the finishing touch.   Only down side is that it cuts at .5 increments and .25 is better for slight borders.

The card dimensions is 4.25 x 5.5
The Slice scallop and circle at 2 -1/2 and 2 respectively
Cuttlebug flower
Ribbon I got from Tuesday Morning (They actually will have The Slice bundle for sale August 3)
Martha Stewart Border Punch

Throw Back Thursday Challenge July 22

This weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge by Emma at My Creative Time was to make a project using the Celebrations Cartridge. This couldn't have come at a better time because I had to make a card for my niece. I used my Handy Dandy Gypsy for this card.
I cut the hat at 3.5 in

Embellishments were some rhinestones I had laying around.

Throw Back Thursday Challenge #60 Card 2

This layout is for a the Throwback Thursday design at Creative Time for Me. In the challenge we had to use an animal. I made this scrapbook layout after I took my son and nieces to the MS Black Rodeo and I knew there would be lots of animals there. I am getting a little more confident in my designs I plan to participate in more challenges.
